Carolyn trained as a Chartered Accountant with PwC in London, where she worked with clients such as Tate & Lyle Sugars, Le Creuset, and The Prince’s Youth Business Trust.

After qualifying, she joined Gillette, initially as a project accountant before going on to lead the UK treasury and credit control teams. This commercial experience gave her invaluable insight into how businesses really operate – not just in theory, but in practice.

Recognising that small businesses often lack access to high-quality tax advice, Carolyn broadened her expertise and became a Chartered Tax Adviser in 2012.

She set up her own accountancy practice to combine professional ambitions with the flexibility needed to raise three sons – now grown up – and life outside work is kept equally busy thanks to two energetic spaniels.

Carolyn enjoys exploring the excellent food and wine Sussex has to offer, loves to travel, and unwinds by putting on her gloves for BoxFit.
